Overview

Spils are spirits that have slipped out of their own realm, VARZ, and into the human world. Where they linger, ordinary events bend into the incidents the public calls hauntings. They are only reliably visible through certain means, such as a specialised camera recovered in early records.

Reported forms vary widely, from small monkey-like figures to towering entities. Some are classified by older folk categories such as Oni. The large Spil known as Red Ogre is one recorded example.
