VARZ

Overview

VARZ is a hidden sacred domain that exists layered over modern Tokyo. It cannot be perceived by ordinary sight, and most people pass through areas of overlap without noticing anything at all. Records describe it not as a separate place, but as another layer of the same city.

Creatures known as Spils are said to slip out of VARZ into the cracks of the human world, where their presence twists ordinary events into what the public reports as "ghost incidents". Those able to cross into VARZ are referred to as VSyncers.

The evidence, however absurd, is internally consistent. The gap in the available information is not closing. It is widening.
