A new stage of VARZ is now open—and there are more ways than ever to join the battlefield.
We have updated the official website and web service, launched a weekly VARZ GAME NIGHT, and are continuing several community campaigns designed to help us improve the game before its worldwide release.
Whether you want to play, test a Starter Deck, invite a friend, reserve VIP benefits, or simply watch a match, here is everything happening in VARZ right now.

The VARZ Website and Web Service Have Been Updated
The official VARZ website is no longer only a place to read about the game.
The latest update connects more of the complete player experience in one place:
- Explore the latest card information
- Learn the rules through the Play Guide
- Build and share decks online
- Find opponents through the connected community
- Record and confirm supported match results
- Review tactical battles through the Replay Viewer
- Check Starter Deck League activity and match data
- Read new strategy, color, card, and development articles
Some features and recorded data are still being improved during the pre-launch period. Your matches and feedback directly help us make the platform more reliable.

Help Us Test the Six Starter Decks
The Starter Deck League is currently underway.
Players use the official pre-built decks and report their match results. No original deck construction is required, so this is one of the easiest ways to begin playing VARZ.
We are asking for your help because every match gives us valuable data.
To properly evaluate the six Starter Decks, we need more games across every color and matchup. The results help us examine:
- The win rate of each Starter Deck
- Matchups that may be too favorable or too difficult
- Whether each color’s strategy is clear to new players
- Cards that may need balance or wording adjustments
- How the decks perform across different skill levels
Use different colors when possible, play as many matches as you are comfortable with, and tell us what felt strong, weak, confusing, or exciting.

The VARZ Invitation Campaign is also active.
VARZ becomes more interesting as more players join, test different colors, create new strategies, and challenge the assumptions behind the current card pool.
Log in to the VARZ web service, open the invitation campaign, and share your personal invitation link with friends who enjoy:
- Trading card games
- Tactical board games
- Japanese mythology and urban legends
- Deck building and game design
- Joining a new game before its official release

VIP Registration Is Still Open
The VARZ VIP Registration Campaign is continuing.
VIP registration allows supporters to reserve access to special benefits connected to the upcoming Kickstarter campaign. Current VIP benefits include eligibility for the VIP Divine Foil Pack and applicable add-on discounts, subject to the final campaign conditions.
Registering now does not replace backing the Kickstarter campaign. After the campaign launches, an eligible physical reward tier will be required for VIP benefits to be applied through the pledge manager.
Already registered? Your reservation remains recorded. Please make sure the email address used for VIP registration is one you will also be able to use during the Kickstarter and pledge-manager process.
Watch Our New Test Play Video
We have uploaded a new VARZ test play video.
The video shows the game in motion: units moving across the hex battlefield, routes opening and closing, Heroes repositioning, and players deciding whether to pressure Life or attack the Portals.
Watching an actual match is one of the fastest ways to understand why VARZ plays differently from a traditional card game.
It is also a snapshot of a game still being improved through community play. Rules presentation, card balance, interface behavior, and match pacing continue to evolve through every test session.
The Best Way to Support VARZ Right Now Is to Play
The website update, GAME NIGHT, Starter Deck League, invitation campaign, VIP registration, and test play video are all parts of the same goal:
Build VARZ together with the players who will one day bring it to tables around the world.
Here is the fastest way to take part this week:
- Explore the updated website.
- Join the official Discord.
- Attend Saturday GAME NIGHT.
- Play and report a Starter Deck League match.
- Invite one friend who may enjoy VARZ.
- Complete VIP registration if you have not already done so.
- Watch the new test play video and share your thoughts.
VARZ is becoming stronger with every match.
