Green is the color of development.
It rewards players for building a formation that becomes more powerful over time. Green Spils often gain or distribute Power+1 counters, reduce the cost of future summons, support nearby allies, and use #Menace, #Vigilance, #Stealth, or #Lethal to make combat difficult for the opponent.
Green’s strongest turns are usually earned through preparation.

Green’s Core Plan
Green wants to place units that improve future units.
Its primary tools include:
- Permanent Power+1 counters
- Summon cost reduction
- 《Beast》synergy
- Large Spils with efficient Power
- #Menace to demand multiple blockers
- #Vigilance and #Stealth to maintain pressure safely
- Effects that reward controlling several Spils on the same land
Build Around a Growth Point
A Green formation often begins with one growth point: a Hero, Sacred Tree, cost reducer, or support Spil.
Do not place every unit beside it automatically. Choose positions that allow new Spils to receive the benefit without creating one cluster that can be punished by a single effect.
The ideal formation is connected enough to share value, but wide enough to control several routes.
Menace Changes the Block Math
#Menace requires two or more units to block.
This does more than make a large attacker difficult to stop. It forces the opponent to move additional defenders toward one route, which may expose another Portal or the Hero.
Green should use #Menace as positional pressure, not only as a combat keyword.
Featured Cards

Saya — KS-HeG01
Once per turn, Saya makes a Green Spil cost 1 less if it is summoned to a hex adjacent to her.
Saya rewards a formation that grows outward from the Hero. The discount is valuable, but repeatedly summoning beside her can create a crowded position, so the older units must continue moving forward.

Sacred Tree — KS-SpG19
Sacred Tree cannot Shift or attack. At the start of your turn, it puts a Power+1 counter on every other Spil you control on the same land.
It is a long-term engine. The opponent is encouraged to reach it quickly, while the Green player must defend it without trapping the entire army around a stationary unit.

Longpaw Bear — KS-SpG09
Longpaw Bear has #Menace and can deal damage equal to its Power to all Spils in a chosen direction by using its action.
It pressures formations in two ways: multiple units are needed to block it, and standing in a line can be punished by its directional damage.

Forest Ogre — KS-SpG22
Forest Ogre has #Overstrike. When it enters, it puts two Power+1 counters on every other Spil you control on the same land.
The card turns an established board into a closing attack. Its value drops significantly when summoned alone, so Green must preserve enough Spils before committing the Ogre.

Direction: Show Saya and Sacred Tree creating a developing formation, then a second panel after Forest Ogre enters and distributes counters. Add Longpaw Bear on one flank with two defenders required to block it. Use official card images and visible Power+1 counters.

Green’s Strengths
Green is especially effective when:
- It can keep several Spils on the battlefield
- Support units survive for multiple turns
- The opponent must divide blockers against #Menace
- Permanent counters make ordinary Spils into major threats
- Cost reduction allows two meaningful summons in one turn
Green’s Weaknesses
Green can struggle when:
- The growth engine is removed before producing value
- Units become too clustered
- The player summons large Spils without enough support
- A fast opponent attacks before the formation is ready
- The board is repeatedly reset or returned to hand
Practical Green Checklist
Before summoning, ask:
- Which existing card improves this new Spil?
- Does the summon hex support growth without overcrowding?
- Which unit will carry the permanent counters?
- Can #Menace force defenders away from another objective?
- If the support unit is removed, does the formation still function?
It becomes powerful because every earlier unit makes the next one harder to answer.
