Blue is the color of tempo control.
Rather than racing to deal the most damage immediately, Blue changes what the opponent is allowed to do. It can Sync important units, return Spils to hand, counter a spell, draw or arrange cards, summon during Slash timing, and protect key units with #Veil or #Barrier.
Blue wins by making the opponent’s expensive action produce less value than expected.

Blue’s Core Plan
Blue’s main tools include:
- Syncing units to restrict their actions
- Returning Spils to their owners’ hands
- Countering Commands, Slashes, or other spells
- Drawing and arranging cards
- #Flash summons that change combat unexpectedly
- #Veil, #Barrier, and damage prevention
The goal is not to stop every action. It is to stop the action that makes the opponent’s turn work.
Find the Key Action
Before using a counter or control effect, ask what the opponent’s turn depends on.
Is it the first attacker? The support unit behind it? A Slash that protects the attacker? A Command that clears the route?
If Blue responds too early, the opponent may simply continue with another plan. If Blue waits until the correct link in the sequence appears, the rest of the turn may collapse.
Sync Is More Than Temporary Defense
Syncing an enemy Spil can prevent movement, attacks, blocks, or other actions depending on the current state and card text.
The strongest Sync target is not always the unit with the highest Power. It may be the unit occupying the only attack hex, supporting several allies, or protecting a Portal route.
Blue players should evaluate function before size.
Featured Cards

Yoka — KS-HeB01
Yoka has #Armor1, reducing damage dealt to her by 1. After V-Sync, she also gains #Flying and can pay 1 once per turn to Unsync one of your 《Archer》 Skills. Her On Reveal ability also places an 《Archer》 Skill from the Skill Deck into your Holder.
Yoka represents Blue’s ability to protect a key Hero while preserving future options. Her durability helps her remain in an important position, while V-Sync turns her into a flexible mobile support piece that can repeatedly access tactical Skills.

Blue Ogre — KS-SpB22
Blue Ogre has #Flash and, when it enters, Syncs one adjacent Spil.
Because it can be summoned during Slash timing, Blue Ogre can appear after the opponent commits to an attack. Its summon hex matters as much as the target: it must become adjacent while also occupying a useful defensive position.

Water Tiger — KS-SpB11
When Water Tiger enters, all adjacent non-Flying Spils return to their owners’ hands.
This can reset a crowded battlefield and remove multiple blockers or attackers at once. It also returns your own adjacent non-Flying Spils, so the setup must be planned carefully.

Wash It Away — KS-SpB15
Wash It Away counters a spell cast by the opponent.
Its value depends on patience. Countering a minor card may feel safe, but preserving it for the effect that completes the opponent’s attack can decide the entire turn.

Direction: Create a four-step tactical diagram with Yoka holding a defensive position with #Armor1, Yoka after V-Sync using #Flying to reposition, Blue Ogre appearing with #Flash to Sync an attacker, and Wash It Away countering the follow-up spell. Place Water Tiger as an alternative board reset panel.

Blue’s Strengths
Blue is especially effective when:
- The opponent relies on one important attack sequence
- Expensive Spils can be returned to hand
- A #Flash summon can occupy a critical hex
- The opponent must cast a spell to complete their plan
- Protecting one key unit preserves the whole formation
Blue’s Weaknesses
Blue can fall behind when:
- Responses are spent on low-impact actions
- The player waits too long and loses the necessary position
- Returning a Spil to hand does not create a meaningful tempo advantage
- Control cards are drawn without enough battlefield pressure
- The opponent presents several independent threats at once
Practical Blue Checklist
Before responding, ask:
- Which action makes the opponent’s turn function?
- Can Sync stop that action without spending a stronger card?
- Does returning this unit to hand cost the opponent more tempo than it costs me?
- Which hex must remain available for a #Flash summon?
- What threat will I create after successfully defending?
Its defense is successful when it converts the opponent’s lost tempo into a better position of its own.
